Often people with have weight loss goals think they should stick to cardio only workouts to burn calories. While cardio is great and definitely important, resistance training that builds muscle is necessary for keeping your metabolism running strong. Our metabolism is in our muscle, and as you build muscle – your body will burn more fat around the clock. The less muscle you have, the slower your base metabolism will be. Also, as you lose weight you still want to be toning so you look strong, fit and fabulous!
