Week 3: Lean 2015 Challenge

Hi everyone! Week 3 of our challenge is upon us which means we are half way through with our Jump Start to a healthy 2015.

Here is your Week 3 Meal Plan. Make sure to download this for the week, create your grocery list and get ready for another week of healthy meals and snacks.

Our goals for week 3 have to do with making this challenge count long term. We want to create a healthy lifestyle change that will last the entire year, not a fad diet or temporary resolution that will fizzle out. Watch the video below to hear more about turning a “diet” into a lifestyle change this year.

Goal 1

Go to your local farmers market, health foods store, or grocery this week and discover at least 1 NEW, healthy food to add into your meals this week. We want to think about adding delicious, fresh foods INTO our diet not just focus on the things we want to get rid of. Create a positive mindset by focusing on all the delicious foods that are heathy and have fun discovering colorful fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices that you can add into your lifestyle.

Goal 2

Make workouts fun. Instead of dreading going to the gym during the week – find a fun way to stay active. Once you find a workout you enjoy, it can be your favorite part of the day instead of something you wish you could avoid. This week try 1 NEW workout you have never done before. Try a new workout class like TurboKick, Zumba, CrossFit, Yoga or Barre Fitness, or do something outdoors like hiking, snow shoeing, paddle boarding or biking. Discover a new way to stay active, and see how fun staying healthy can be!
