Week 1: Lean 2015 Fitness Challenge
Happy 2015 everyone! I hope y’all had an amazing New Years Eve and are ready and excited to start the New Year off right. Today is Day 1 of your Lean 2015, 30-Day Challenge and I am so glad you are joining me to get a healthy jump start to the year.
If you ate WAY to much chocolate, sweets, and lets face it alcohol over the holiday (like we all did) do not worry because you are not alone, and today we are starting FRESH with an amazing challenge to get us back on track.
Here are your first steps to get started:
Step 1: Take your “Before Photos” and Measurements
Today is a great day to take some “before” photos if you want to track your progress, as well as write down your weight and any body measurements you want to use a baseline for your progress in the New Year. Download and print off your SummerGirlFitness Body Measurement Chart to track your progress over the next 4 weeks.
Step 2: Write Goals
Write some personal and physical goals for the next 4 weeks. Whether your goal is to lose weight, run a mile in 8 minutes, hold a plank for 1 minute or make it through 60 minutes of cardio without dying – writing down your goals to help you get centered and stay motivated through this challenge. Tape your goals on your fridge or bedroom mirror, or keep them in the car to help you stay focused over the next 4 weeks.
Step 3: Print your Workout Calendar
Download your Workout Calendar and post it somewhere in your apartment or house where you will see it every day. Get ready to follow along with our workouts and get stronger in 30 days! All the workout videos are on my Youtube Channel and can be done at home with just a small amount of space. For the cardio days you can do any type of cardio you want. Whether you love running or walking through your neighborhood, or enjoy a spinning or kickboxing class – pick our favorite type of cardio each week.
Step 4: Print your Week 1 Meal Plan
Download your Week 1 Meal Plan for breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner options you can mix and match to create your own healthy meal plan this week. Depending on your goals you can add to the meal plan to reach the number of calories you need. I love to use My Fitness Pal to enter all my food, track macro nutrients, and make sure I am eating the right amount of calories. This is an amazing tool and is completely free to download. Use it along with your healthy meal plan to make sure you meet your weight loss goals!
Post your pictures, goals, selfies and workout pics with the HASHTAG #LEAN2015 to connect with other challengers, and stay accountable this New Year!
Leave all your comments and questions below. Happy NEW YEAR and get ready for a LEAN 2015!
xoxo,
