1 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 Cup Oats
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Allspice
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Egg
1 Tbs White Vinegar
1/2 cup Walnuts
1/2 cup Raisins
3-4 Tbs Almond Milk/Non-fat Milk
3 Tbs Maple Syrup or Agave
4 oz Applesauce
1 Tsp Vanilla
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix wet ingredients: egg, applesauce, vanilla, milk, vinegar and maple syrup in one bowl. Mix flour, 1/4 cup of the oats, spices, baking powder, baking soda, walnuts and raisins in a second bowl. Gently combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold together until completely combined, adding more milk if needed. Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of oats on top of wet batter in loaf pan. Bake at 350 until a stick placed in the center of the loaf comes out clean and top is golden brown. About 16-20 minutes.
